Lampard says with Vn88 Rezence: it was a “easy decision to return” for Mount to play for Chelsea

Former Chelsea player and manager Frank Lampard is well-known for his admiration of up-and-coming athletes and coaches. Lampard showed a lot of faith in young players during his tenure as Chelsea manager, and one of those guys he promoted to the first team was Mason Mount.

Mount, a graduate of the Chelsea youth system, made his professional debut for the club in 2019 while Lampard was the manager. Sharing with Vn88, Lampard put a lot of faith in the young midfielder, who was only 20 at the time, and he eventually became a regular starter for the squad.

Mount was a standout on the field thanks to his coolness under pressure, tireless effort, and keen eye for the goal. Lampard’s faith in the teenager was well-placed, as the player contributed significantly to Chelsea’s top-four Premier League finish that year.

The Chelsea faithful and W88 appreciated Lampard’s faith in Mount and saw the promise in the young player. Mount’s stellar play under Lampard’s direction only increased, and he quickly became a crucial cog in the team’s success.

Mount’s value to Chelsea has not lessened since Lampard left the club. The midfielder has flourished under new coach Thomas Tuchel and has been an integral part of the team’s recent success.

According to Rezence Vn88, Mount’s adaptability in a range of midfield and offensive roles has been invaluable to Chelsea. He also has a strong rapport with his fellow players, especially with fellow academy graduate Reece James.

After pledging a “clean slate” for the whole Chelsea squad, new caretaker manager Frank Lampard has praised Mason Mount as a “big player” for the club.

Lampard, who was fired from the club just over two years ago, has been named interim manager until the conclusion of the season.

Mount was an integral part of the Blues’ roster when the 44-year-old was their manager from July 2019 to January 2021.

The England international’s contract at Stamford Bridge is up for renewal in the summer, but Vn88 said that he has had a frustrating season marred by injuries, poor play, and uncertainty over his future.

Lampard may decide to deploy the 24-year-old again after he was benched for Chelsea’s last two games.

Mason was “a tremendous player for me at Derby and Chelsea,” Lampard stated in his introductory press conference at Rezence.

“I’m aware that he’s dealt with a couple minor injury issues. I need to contact him and learn his whereabouts, but I already know to expect the worst from Mason. He’s a major contributor for the Blues.

“I’ve heard that Chelsea may have one of the best squads in modern football. The last time I was here, they had that.

Maybe it’s good for me in the short run because it means everyone can start over.

Lampard: Coming back to Chelsea was a no-brainer

Graham Potter was fired on Sunday after only seven months as manager, and Lampard said it was an “easy decision” to return to the club in an interim capacity.

On Tuesday night, Lampard watched from the stands as a Blues team led by interim manager Bruno Saltor opened the post-Potter era with a scoreless draw against Liverpool.

W88 Rezence quote from Lampard “For me, this is a simple choice. The club I run. I experience and express a wide range of emotions.

“I came here hoping to lend a hand until the season is through. I’ll do all in my power to satisfy the fans all the way through the season.

“The team is loaded with skilled players. I can’t wait to get to know that talent and lend a hand.”

Starting with Saturday’s visit to Wolves in the Premier League, Chelsea’s final nine games of the season include the Champions League quarter final first leg against European champions Real Madrid.

Then Lampard elaborated with “Amazingly thrilling. On Tuesday, I returned to the place I had previously left for the first time since I had gone. The excitement of returning to Stamford Bridge was palpable.

“That came as a shock because you can never predict what the club’s choice will be. This season has seen significant shifts in the Premier League.

“That said, aren’t all significant challenges? All managers who lose their jobs have my deepest condolences. I’m prepared to put in effort and approach this challenge methodically.”
